Water pump is driven by the timing belt, to do the timing belt the A/C must be evacuated. This is a very yucky job to do. I would recommend replace timing belt at same time (even if you haven't hit recommended timing belt interval). The 02 PT cruiser had a poorly designed timing belt tensioner, while there I would install the updated one. Now about the installation every single mechanic charges differently.
