also, sometimes you can get a bolt to turn in slightly when it won't back out. you should only try this as a last resort before drilling the bolt out. try to turn the bolt like you are tightening it, but not too far. you don't want it to break or strip. if it moves in a little it will probably break up the rust a little and make it a lot easier to back out.How can i loose a rusty and tight screw from the water pump?wd 40 or easing oil, you could try a little heat if you have a gas welder to hand, plenty of patiance dont snap it, then you are in the doodooHow can i loose a rusty and tight screw from the water pump?i cant think of the name right off the top of my head. but if you go into like shucks or auto zone, they have this loosening agent. you let it set over night and it eats away at the rust and grim making it easier to remove.

hopefully you don't brake the bolt.

those vans are a hassle to work on.

good luckHow can i loose a rusty and tight screw from the water pump?Penetrant as mentioned above but also with some heat. If you just force it it will break off.How can i loose a rusty and tight screw from the water pump?First use a good penetrating oil. Liquid Wrench is very good. then lightly tap on the screw just enough to set up a viberation. Don't use a long handle wrench, use a short handle. The long handle has too much spring in it, and all the energy is used up in the spring action handle.. sometimes it helps to try to tighten it first, just enough to crack the corossion. One tap with a hammer usually does it. If this doesn't work, use an impact wrench. If you're working on cars, your friends are probably doing the same thing. One of them probably has one that you can borrow. How can i loose a rusty and tight screw from the water pump?WD 40, PB Blaster, or any penetrating catalyst, spray it over, let it sit 5-10 minutes, to work on rust....spray more, wait 5 minutes, try it.. use the exact wrench so u do not damge the head of screw....those screws u can damage the head easily...Try to use a pipe as an extension for the wrench.... and keep it tensioned in the proper position...Eventually Wd 40, will break off the rust...Use more penetrating catalist, if is tight works little by little......

If....does not work....torch it....

Ps: if u damaged the head there's an irwing socket that u can put it over the screw, as u try to unscrew it, will tighten on the bolt....If u break the ,....U have to drill it, with a smaller drill bit but have to watch out, do not damage the threds.. use a small screw go soft, than heat up the bolt and little by little beark it offHow can i loose a rusty and tight screw from the water pump?try spraying it with pb blaster and work it back and forth until it comes. this works sometimes too. try to tighten it some and then loosen it.
