I have a 98 Jeep Wrangler and wanted to know how to change the radiator and water pump. how long will it take?

Not a job for a novice. There are several panels that must be removed from this Jeep to extract the radiator and several components to be removed from front of engine to extract water pump...If you are not depending on this for sole transportation then there is a way to learn. Buy a Chilton's or Haynes manual on the vehicle. It is a repair guide written for the laymen that includes pictures. It is a bumper to bumper guide for complete and total tear down and rebuild of the entire vehicle divided into specific sections easy to define.

If it is your sole transportation, shell out the money and save yourself a whole lot of aggravation.I have a 98 Jeep Wrangler and wanted to know how to change the radiator and water pump. how long will it take? Not to sure on a wrangler but I do know. There is no radiator that is going to take 30 minutes. You always have to take out more then what you expect and just be prepared to be there for a few hours. Grab you a book at autozone or somewhere like that on your vehicle. Them books are life savers.I have a 98 Jeep Wrangler and wanted to know how to change the radiator and water pump. how long will it take?radiator 20 minutes maybe

i did a rad in my dads old new yorker... took about 20-25 minutes, including draining and refilling the antifreezeI have a 98 Jeep Wrangler and wanted to know how to change the radiator and water pump. how long will it take? It's not too bad. The fan shroud is a bit of a pain, but the radiator is only two hoses and 4 bolts. At that point the pump should be fairly easy to get to. I would advise you to replace the thermostat while you are in there.I have a 98 Jeep Wrangler and wanted to know how to change the radiator and water pump. how long will it take?Honestly I let a 16 year old change mine out in my 99 wrangler, and he had never been under the hood of a car. It took him about an hour to do it by himself, but we made sure he had someone who knew what they were doing supervising. Took a little longer than normal because the adult didn't assist just made sure it was done right. It was a learning experience. I will warn you make sure you get a radiator with a warranty, I replaced my factory one and within a year it blew the top seal, that's why he had to change it in order to borrow it for the weekend.
