Well from my time with my babies(toyotas) they are simple but vans are alot different. I know its just a waterpump but my thought is take it to a shop and have it done cuz if sumthing goes wrong your covered by the shop that did the repair. As far as the a/c goes it should be cold as hell. But run the car and try the a/c but keep an EYE on the temp so you dont blow a motor or head gasket.
